From the author who brought you A Thousand Boy Kisses comes the new emotional novel, A Wish For Us. A story of music. A story of healing. A story of love conquering all. Nineteen-year-old Cromwell Dean is the rising star of electronic dance music. Thousands of people adore him. But no one knows him. No one sees the color of his heart. Until the girl in the purple dress. She sees through the walls he has built to the empty darkness within. When Cromwell leaves behind the gray skies of England to study music in the South Carolina heat, the last thing he expects is to see her again. And he certainly doesn’t expect that she’ll stay in his head like a song on repeat. Bonnie Farraday lives for music. She lets every note into her heart, and she doesn’t understand how someone as talented as Cromwell can avoid doing the same. He’s hiding from his past, and she knows it. She tries to stay away from him, but something keeps calling her back. Bonnie is the burst of color in Cromwell’s darkness. He’s the beat that makes her heart skip. But when a shadow falls over Bonnie, it’s up to Cromwell to be her light, in the only way he knows how. He must help her find the lost song in her fragile heart. He must keep her strong with a symphony only he can compose. A symphony of hope. A symphony of love. A symphony of them. 5 Star Review by Ashley First, this cover is just stunning. I need a hug after finishing A Wish for Us. Oh my heart. It was broken and built back up only to be put through the ringer again in only the way Tillie Cole can do. I finished reading and hours later my eyes were still red from all the tears (it's very rare for me to get weepy over a book). Cromwell and Bonnie were so different. Brash to gentle. Dark to light. Crass to kind. But their hearts spoke the same language, music. It thrummed in their veins and was the beat of their heart. It was the breath in their lungs and the color in their eyes. And the thread that bonded them even as they tried to hide their pain. There was something about Bonnie that sparked Cromwell. Gave him the desire to embrace his incredible gift. That made him listen to the music in his heart. In turn, he gave her heart a reason to beat. He gave her a new dream to live and look forward too. But time was not on their side. They were in a fight whose fate was out of their hands. As things start to spiral out of control in Cromwell's world the colors, the sounds kept getting louder and louder. I could hear it. I could feel it. The franticness, the desperation, the overwhelming grief and sorrow the need to do something- anything to make it better. So he did the only thing he could- he turned to his passion. He turned his pain into purpose. He wrote the song that his heart couldn't contain in hope that it would mend Bonnie's. I can't put into words the devastatingly beautiful final quarter to this book. My heart soared, it sank, it fluttered back to life and turned to a pile of mush in my chest. A Wish for Us was a truly a masterpiece. Bonnie and Cromwell's journey was a cornucopia of color, emotion and sound. Tillie Cole's words bled from the pages and straight into my soul.
