When Ronan Sharpe unexpectedly left Colorado for parts unknown, he took a piece of Keely Carmichael's heart with him.

After leaving his hellish roots behind him, Ronan found contentment when he started over. Thoughts of the past had been pushed down for so long; he hardly thought about it at all.

He intended to keep it that way.

When unexpected circumstances force Ronan to return to Colorado, the Keely he finds is no longer the adolescent girl he remembered. Torn between desire and fear, Ronan struggles with his feelings for Keely and his need to escape the town that scarred him so deeply years ago.

Letting go is all Ronan's ever known. Will he realize a life with Keely is something he should hold onto at any cost?

This was a heartwarming story, it literally just blew me away.  Ronan was a hero to me and I can't imagine this story having gone any other way.

A beautiful story about hardships, loss, regret and love.  Ronan Sharpe is seriously a man that any woman would die for.  He's caring and loving and literally goes out of his way for his girls.  At first he didn't want to accept that he was falling for Keely because of the age difference but when Emma came into the picture, he just had to accept that both girls literally had him by the "you know what".

Keely was a lovely girl at only age 19 she was very mature and she had to grow up on her own really having a father that didn't care about her and her mother had died of cancer and her half sister Izzy was never there for her, on the contrary she would go out of her way to be mean to Keely up until she needed her help.

Ronan left his hometown due to a certain someone and circumstances that he needed to get away from.  He was an adopted child and his family just never cared about him especially his brother.

Two souls that lead the same miserable life unite to take care of a baby that was left in their care.  Can Ronan look past the age difference and make a life with Keely and Emma?  I know Keely has always had a secret crush on Ronan and she would be none other than happy to be able to spend her life with the man of her dreams.

This was an epic read and even though this was the first book I've read from Ms. Fox, I have to say that she really impressed me with this superb standalone book.

Total thumbs up and a 4.5 star read for me :)
