I came from nothing and made something of myself. I’ve only ever loved two things. Cars and her.

I took that passion and built an empire.
Now I’m the CEO.
The alpha.
On top of the world.

I’m not the carefree man she once knew.
That was the problem with being one of the richest men in the world—everyone thinks they know me, but they only know what I want them to.

I’m demanding.
Arrogant.
Controlling.

My company thinks they can change me.  Soften my image. Make me more appealing to the public.
Little do they know, the woman they hired was my best friend’s little sister, and the last time I saw her...

I broke her heart.

5 Heart Review by Lorena

Now this is why I love this author so much! She knows how to deliver a book that will tug all my little heart strings with her angst and her second chance trope.

Julian and Autumn have had one crazy chemistry that will leave everyone yearning for this type of love. Although Julian is several years older than Autumn they still had that unrequited love due to the fact that Julian was Christian, Autumn's brother's best friend and on top of that he was a bit older than her, but he always had a soft spot for her until she got older and her curves started showing, then his attraction towards her is when it started rearing it's ugly head for her.

They had to hide their love for each other for a while because Julian couldn't face losing the only family he had, which was Autumn's family so he decided to leave and break her heart. In doing so, he also broke his heart and Christian's as well, but he saw no other way.

Let's fast forward 10 years, Julian is now a successful billionaire entrepreneur and Autumn is a successful publicist, she decided to take on Julian as her client because she had her ulterior motives in seeing him again, what she wasn't expecting was him showing her all his cards and vulnerability in how much he still cared for her.

I was pretty surprised that this Alpha CEO was bending his knee for this woman, he would stop at nothing to get her to forgive him for leaving her 10 years ago and he is willing to make it up to her whichever way he could. The total surprise was a curve ball he didn't see coming though and things certainly were going to change for the good or the bad.

Julian has become one of my favorite hero's to read about this year. He certainly has won an award in my corner for his determination, his fierce love and his willingness to do whatever it took to get the woman he loved back.

M. Robinson, the queen of angst has given me another 5 star read!
