RULE #1: Do NOT catch feelings for the man who doesn't believe in love.
Four months. That's how long I’ll need to pretend to be Steele Cunningham's doting girlfriend.
I agreed to this insanity only to save my restaurant. He's doing it because he needs someone outside his “social circle” to stick it to his meddling parents and clingy ex.
Ruthless and emotionless in both his personal life and his career, Steele’s ego rivals his net worth.
Operating on joy and positivity—and a healthy bit of feistiness—I challenge him at every step.
He’s a tin man—heartless and cold. Falling for him would be a colossal mistake, because there’s no chance he’ll ever love me.
After all, he’s the man with an armored heart.
4 Heart Review by Lorena
Ella Marchetti is beyond upset to find out that Steele Cunningham wants to tear down her restaurant. She marches her little self over there to see if she could win his heart with one of her famous dishes (spaghetti and meatballs) but she finds herself that her little plan didn't work, but what she did come out with was with a contract that will benefit them both.
Steele is a man who happens to be more on the serious side, no emotions, no fun, no nothing. He's all about work, work, work. But Ella will somehow break him little by little and the four months that they have together will certainly prove that she can do whatever she sets herself out to do.
These two were a very different breed. Very unusual couple, none like I ever read before and I honestly liked that very much. I'm not one to swoon over slow burns but there have been some that have captured my attention and have won my heart and this one happens to be one of them!
