![]() Simon Fletcher is a busy single dad. Between bringing up his daughter and moving cross-country to start a new life, he’s focused on making a fresh start for them. Amy McNeil isn’t in his plans. But the pretty, wild, and free woman who has caught his eye is so different from his cold, removed ex-wife, he can’t help himself. He’s drawn to her. Her warmth. Her light. When he discovers she is everything he wants, everything he needs—and more—how will he handle this unexpected second chance at love? Is he ready to grab happiness and run with it? Or will he simply run away? 4 Heart Review by Ashley While I'm not the biggest fan of insta-love (give me the simmering slow burn), I really like the way Melanie Moreland does them. An Unexpected Chance was just what I needed, a sweet and easy read with just a touch of drama.
I'm not quite sure I can pick a favorite part of this story. Simon's relationship with Mia (the cutest kid) made me melt. It could've been Amy and how she was unapologetically herself no matter what. There was no denying the instant spark between Simon and Amy. These two steamed it up big time. But the way they gave the other a place to lay their fears and dream of a future they didn't think they'd have was what truly sealed the deal. Full of sharp, witty banter and swoon worth moments, Amy and Simon's fast paced romance was just fun to read. Plus getting to catch up with Evan and Holly was a real treat.
