When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees. Archer's Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love. Review by BrittanyBree Prescott lived through something horrible. Each morning she lives through a flashback of the terrible crime that ruined her life. When the final straw falls, her back breaks and she leaves Ohio for a small town in Maine. When her plastic bag rips and her groceries scatter the parking lot, Bree comes face first with a silent man. After asking around, she finds out that his name is Archer Hale. She’s curious and has to learn more about him. Slowly, she integrates herself into his life. Slowly, they fall in love. Archer’s cousin, one of the town’s police officers, Travis Hale, also has a thing for Bree. You can probably guess what happens. Travis makes Archer feel less than. Makes him feel like Bree will leave him because he’s not good enough. I mean, what can Archer give her? And maybe… just maybe, it’s true. Maybe he isn’t good enough for her. Maybe she wants more. When things get tough, can Archer and Bree stay and fight for their relationship? There are so many things I want to say about this book. So many. I’m going to try and have it sort of organized… but forgive me if it just sounds jumbled. I can’t get it out fast enough! This book… in a few words. Amazing. Emotional. Must read. This book… will take you on a roller coaster ride. There will be moments where you will cry. Where you will beg whoever will listen to make it all better. There are moments where you will just turn off your kindle and stare at the wall, just trying to process it. I’ve been reading and blogging for a while now. I’ve never had a reading experience like the one I did with Archer’s Voice. I never felt so much. I say all the time how much I love a book, but without a doubt, no contest, this is my favorite book ever. Beats out Harry Potter and Twilight. Archer Hale is my number one book boyfriend and it will be impossible to beat him. Archer Hale… he is the sweetest. There are moments where I clutched my heart and had tears come to my eyes because when he cares about someone… my God he’d do ANYTHING for them. And I mean anything. I can only hope that I find a man like Archer one day. The story. Oh I can’t… so amazing. Yeah, maybe this story has been done before, but Mia Sheridan adds a twist to it. Something that hasn’t been done before, or not that I have read anyways. I want to read this book again and again and again. I want to crawl into this book and just have two seconds with Archer Hale. This sweet, beautiful man. Mia Sheridan, you have a gift. And this book, has changed my life. And I am still trying to process it. There are not enough stars in the sky for this book. All I can say is, thank you. Thank you for writing this story.
