Oh my god!!! I freaking love this chick. She’s blown me away again with Awakening, the second novel in the Destined series.

Mira is finally awake after spending seven weeks in a coma. The reality that she dreamt is not actually real, and Danny’s alive, and Skylar is just her best friend.

Mira fights her feelings towards Skylar after this huge revelation, trying to feel out her relationship with Danny. She feels obligated to stay in this relationship with him, not wanting to hurt him after spending so long with him.

While continuing to fight what her heart wants, Mira discovers what she really wants. Does she want Danny, her boyfriend and now fiancé, or Skylar, her best friend?

Five stars, once again, for Ashley Suzanne and Awakening. I loved it. The grammar was way better than the first novel (great improvement!), and I absolutely loved the story line. The characters are amazing, too, which adds a whole bunch to this story.

I love Skylar and Mira. I absolutely do. Team Skylar! I shall stake claim to him. Their relationship is filled with such love, such friendship. I love the way they are together. I could see them as being my friends. I LOVE that, when the characters are REAL. Kylee, Mira’s best friend, also adds heaps of love and humor to this story. I love Kylee. I want her in my life! WHY CAN’T SHE BE REAL?!

The differing points of view is also something I really enjoyed. I love getting to be inside the minds of Mira, Skylar, and Danny. I often don’t like having so many different points of view, but Ashley really made this work. Great job!

The flow of the story is also amazing! Every event flows together nicely, there were no gaps in the story and I was never confused. She covered all the bases.

Man, Ashley Suzanne. You’re killing me, Smalls. You have written such an amazing story, and it just blew my mind. HURRY UP AND FINISH FAÇADE. #RealTalk

About Ashley Suzanne

Picture
Ashley Suzanne is a married mother of three little boys as well as a daughter, aunt, sister, best friend, birth mother, blogger, book whore and author. Ashley is a native to the suburbs of Detroit, with most of her family living in Kentucky and New York.

You can usually find Ashley sitting in bed, with her laptop, playing on Facebook, pretending to write, entering giveaways (she's also a swag whore) or on a football field with her oldest son, Tyler. Yep, not only is she a football fan, she's a football mom!

When she's reading, it's typically something to do with romance, erotica being her favorite genre. Ashley co-owns a blog, 2 Chicks and a Blog, with her GBFF Manda. She's a total fan-girl over a few authors, Pamela Ann, Brooke Cumberland, SE Hall, Madeline Sheehan, Jasinda Wilder, Angela Graham, CM Stunich and Riley Rhea to name a few.

Ashley has no pets, unless you count her children and she is a little OCD. Her favorite color is pink. Her favorite drink is cherry vodka and coke and double chocolate brownies are a must.

She's currently working on her 2nd novel, Awakening, which will follow Mirage (An Amazon Best Seller) and a few other projects.
