Sofie James is a successful set designer, trying to break into the male dominated production design realm and lacking any personal obligations she sees a clear path to success. Drake Blaxton is a senior partner in an architectural firm who has always been focused and grounded in his career while completely noncommittal in his personal life. A chance encounter at their favorite pond. A fateful storm that could change everything. What happens when Sofie and Drake's worlds collide into each other, awakening a thundering passion that neither were ever open to having? This book contains sexually explicit material and is intended for adult readers only. Review by BrittanySofie James can usually be found on a film crew as a set designer. But for the next few weeks she’s going to be in Boston, working on a stage production. While there she takes walks near Frog Pond, sitting on the bench and watching the children. But the whole reason for her going changes when she spots a handsome guy in a suit. Drake Blaxton, architect extraordinaire, has also gone to the pond to rest during work hours. That’s when he spots the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen… One day, Sofie is sitting on her bench waiting for “Suit Guy” when it starts to lightning. Heading for cover she literally runs right into a wall…a wall of man. She starts to fall, but he catches her. Not before she hits her head on a tree and passes out. Sofie awakes in a bedroom with “Suit Guy” staring at her. She learns who he is, and that’s the beginning of their hot and heavy summer romance. This quick little story is definitely steamy. Fifi Flowers is one of the top erotica romance writers in my book! She knows how to turn you on with her words. What bothered me about this book was how quick the two began a relationship. It seemed unrealistic to me. Also, after they had sex, it was like it didn’t happen. They just continued on with their lives, not saying anything about it. It just took me away from the story. But other than that, this book is really good! You’re left on a cliffhanger. It’s not too bad though, the next one comes out on the twenty-second of September. You really get a feel for these characters and want them to give in to their desires, but it’s not always that easy… I gave this novella four stars. I am anxiously awaiting the next book and can’t wait to see where Drake and Sofie go. Take a chance with this ninety-nine cent novella and fall in love with Sofie and Drake. Fifi Flowers has a way with her writing that draws you in, I know you’ll love it.
