In the glamorous world of ballroom, love and dancing do not always mix.
Professional dancer Anita Goodman has learned that lesson the hard way. With her studio and her reputation on the line, she has to take a chance on the last person she ever wanted to partner with: her best friend.
Patrick O'Leary has loved Anita since high school, but he has languished in the Friend Zone for long enough. He will take this last chance to prove to her that love is greater than winning.
Neither of them realize that conquering their rising attraction won't be their biggest obstacle. Someone does not want them to be together, and will stop at nothing to get their way.
Love, dance, and danger. It's a Ballroom Blitz.
3 Heart Review by Ashley
After catching the blurb for Ballroom Blitz, it sounded different and intriguing and I knew it would be my first read from Natalie Cross. The opening alone was a bit sinister. After that, things slowed down a bit...
I liked Anita. She was talented and kind, resilient and lonely. Trying keep her professional life away from her personal one. Except with Patrick being back in town and her dance partner for the showcase it was all she could do to reel in her emotions. Same for Patrick.
Especially when the threats and attacks started rolling in. All of his instincts told him to keep Anita close while not pushing too hard for fear of pushing her away for good.
I found myself wanting more of these two actually being together. Not as just dance partners or friends but as a couple. That being said, Anita and Patrick's slow burn friends to lovers romance was dangerous and the longing was well worth the wait.
