A mom on the run. A man who missed his shot. When their paths cross long after meeting, will misunderstandings lead to love?

Maddy Miller is barely keeping her head above water. A struggling single mother raising a little boy, she’s terrified when her house is broken into and flees in panic to a childhood father-figure. But after she mistakenly pepper sprays the gorgeous guy who hated her in school, she wishes she’d left a better impression.

Fresh out of the Navy, Turner Walker is ready for a new chapter. So when one of the mean girls he had a secret teenage crush on confuses him with an intruder in his own home, he’s immediately suspicious of her intentions with his dad. But as he grows closer to the troubled woman, he can’t ignore his old feelings… or their red-hot chemistry.

Falling hard for the handsome former sailor, Maddy’s petrified her chance at happily ever after will fall victim to a shadowy stalker. And with the truth of their shared history thrown into a drastically new light, Turner won’t rest until the girl of his dreams is safe.

Can long-overdue passions survive an obsessive danger from the past?

4 Heart Review by Ashley

When I say Maddy and Turner went through it, I mean they were given the business! Holy geez did Beautiful Collision grab me by the throat. The opening alone had me holding my breath and my heart racing.

I adored Maddy. She was brave and resilient. Down over and over and over but never out. She couldn't be. She had something, rather someone to fight for, her son Josh. That little boy stole the show a time or two with his sweet innocence. I won't lie, it took me a hot minute (or ten) to warm up to Turner. He was angry, bitter and downright mean to Maddy. Holding onto events of the past that he didn't know the full story on.

That being said, I enjoyed seeing the other side of Turner slowly come out. The guy who wanted to protect and nurture Maddy and Josh. Especially as the dark secrets of Maddy's past are revealed and an unknown threat lurks. More than the change in Turner, I LOVED the change in Maddy. As she found her voice and spoke her truth without shame or fear.

As with all the books in the Shattered Cove series, my emotions were all over the place. But this one in particular found me rubbing my chest more than once. Here is your warning- this book gets into some heavy, possibly triggering topics. But A.M. Kusi handled with the grace and delicacy they warranted. I could not get enough of Maddy and Turner's enemies-to-lovers romance that was full of healing and hope and promise.
