A sexy new standalone from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.
He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.
When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.
You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.
He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.
Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy.
Oops. My mistake.
Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.
I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?
That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.
Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.
I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.
Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.
This was going to be interesting…

Review by Lorena

Oh lord this book was just super fun, sexy and oh so freaking good!

We get one hot and sexy professor who happens to hit it off with his TA from the first moment they meet, even though their first encounter wasn't even at the school, it was at the bar where Rachel works, but that's how it started.  You definitely saw sparks when they bumped into each other.

Both Caine and Rachel hit it off instantly, their flirtatious bouts from the get-go are fun and super entertaining.  They both have a pretty secretive past that neither wants to share with each other.  Rachel just wants to forget her sordid past and professor West feels like he has a guilty conscience and remorse for what he encountered 15 years ago.

But you can't start a relationship based on lies and deceit.

As the relationship turns from professional/friendly to a more of a serious romantic relationship, they both realize that they need to come clean and tell each other their secrets in order to make their relationship either work or dissolve for good.

Both Caine and Rachel broke my heart when they were having their issues and my heart hurt more for Rachel because it seemed like she's the one that put more effort into their relationship than Caine did.  He was afraid of commitment and of falling in love and Rachel was more of a risk taker and was looking for a serious relationship.  She really tried not to think of the past that haunted her since she was a child and she was a pretty strong heroine and very courageous.

One heck of a storyline that will leave you swooning!

4.5 star read!!
