The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.

Fiercely independent Camille "Cami" Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.

Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.

Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.

As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever—even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.

In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

Everyone that has read the first two books in this series has absolutely loved not just Travis Maddox, but every Maddox brother. They all hold this certain charm that makes everyone fall in love with them. In Beautiful Oblivion, we are following the story of Camille Camlin and Trenton Maddox.

Cami Camlin works at the town’s local bar, the Red Doors. Everyone that lives there can be found on the dance floor or behind the bar or playing pool at least one night a week. That includes not just Travis Maddox, but Trenton Maddox as well. Cami is a sweet, kind part time student at the University in town. Her best friend Reagan is always there for her, with her own boy problems too. Cami has been dating T.J. for six months, three of them with him across the country in California, doing who knows what. Really, nobody knows. It’s all a secret.

Trenton Maddox lives with his father so he can help with rent and such. He’s a kind, tattooed man that will not tolerate any man hitting a woman. So he’s especially protective of Cami, since the patrons at the bar sometimes get a little handsy.

Watch this story unfold as these two discover that they have a love for each other that cannot be denied. Be surprised the moment you discover the secret behind T.J. Fall in love with Trenton Maddox, the big teddy bear.

I loved Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster. I absolutely love Travis Maddox. But I think Trenton is now my favorite. He’s the sweetest thing ever. And I followed a Beautiful Disaster role play family on Facebook for a while, and the profile picture for Trenton was perfect and who I pictured as I read the book.

Jamie McGuire is a wonderful writer. I recommend you go to her website and read the story on the “real” Travis Maddox. And there really is a person that she based him off of. It’s so sweet to know that there are men out there like that. Anyways, that’s not what this review is about.

This story has real problems. Cami is battling with herself over the man she thinks she loves, the one that is across the country and not putting her first and the man that shows affection for her, the one that is right there with her, the one that claims he’d do anything for her. I know that feeling, sort of. Thinking you love two people at the same time. This stuff really happens and it’s refreshing to read something that is realistic.

I think the chemistry and passion between Cami and Trenton is magical. I love these two together. They have a relationship together I wish I had with my boyfriend. They’re playful, fun, and protective of each other. Really, Trenton will beat the shi* out of anyone that tries to take his girl from him and Cami isn’t afraid to tell the girls how it is if they come too close to her man.

Five stars for Beautiful Oblivion and Trenton Maddox. Oh, and the ending. You will be confused at about 92-93%, but keep reading, it will be explained. I found that out. And you will be shocked by the ending. I was.
