Sometimes us silly girls fantasize about things that never come to be. I had expectations after college—expectations to run off with Jake Larson and start our life together in a little Pennsylvania farm town. I had my happiness mapped out inside my head.

I didn’t expect to run into a strange, alluring man with a beard and dark hair stacked up on top of his head. I didn’t expect to be attracted to someone so—different. He was everything I didn’t know existed. He could make me feel things I’d never felt before. It didn’t seem possible that we could be together. We both had obligations. The world told us no, but we couldn’t stay away from one another, couldn’t deny that we were drawn together. He was so beautiful—so beautiful rugged. I was going to make him mine.

Sara V. Zook had me with Pulled and when If found out she was coming out with a new book, I just new I had to have my hands on it.  She is always full of surprises and I love all the spins in the books and the surprises she leaves us with.

Evanna and Gideon are two very different people but that doesn't stop them from having some sort of attraction towards each other.  Although they know they can't be together because they are both in a relationship, they still have a pull that is undeniably strong.

Evanna seems to have become bored with her life and the boyfriend she has and wants more in life.  She seems to think that Gideon could be that for her.  Gideon is forbidden as he's taken and engaged for that matter, but that doesn't seem to be a factor when it comes to Evanna.

They both seem to struggle with their emotions and feelings towards each other.  Can they leave their significant other's and pursue a relationship together?

I love the forbidden books because the plots to these stories are always so different.  Each one I've read have had a different perspective and ending to the book.  I have not been disappointed yet reading a forbidden love type of book and Sara V. Zook never disappoints.  I love her style of writing and I love all the surprises she always weaves into her stories.  This was a very well written book and I completely and adoringly give her 4.5 stars for this magnificent book.
