What's worse than a cocky new guy at school? A cocky new guy with a killer body and the attention of every female at school. Hadley can tell the minute she lays eyes on Caynan that he's someone to avoid. He may have looks and charm, but he's also got heartbreak written all over his pretty face.

Unfortunately for Hadley, Caynan has his sights set on her. She's the one girl who doesn't want him. The one girl who's turned off by his charm. The one girl who challenges him like no other. And, though she couldn't possibly know the truth about him, she seems to be the one girl who really sees him.

But with Caynan, things aren't at all what they seem. His secrets have secrets and everything out of his mouth straddles the line between truth and fiction. He knows better than to get involved with anyone, especially with his time limited in the new town, but he just can't seem to get Hadley out of his mind. Too bad for him, secrets never remain secrets for long.

Heartwarming, heartfelt and different emotions that had me all over the place.  I was really shocked to read such a great book that left me teary eyed and wondering before I got to the end if there was going to be a HEA or not!

Two people from completely two different worlds.

It wasn't that Hadley was playing hard to get with Caynan but she saw how he was with the girls and she knew that he was a player and she just didn't do players (literally)! I mean, this guy was just HOT!

Caynan had secrets and he wasn't proud of what he did, but he did them out of necessity.  But when Hadley came crashing into his world, he didn't know if he could continue doing what he was doing (living a lie) or actually come clean with the girl who has stolen his heart.  He chose to continue the lies and that eventually came back to bite him in the a$$ because he got caught in the act.

Caynan lost the girl he loved and ended up separated from her for three years, but when he gets back, he comes back with a force and will stop at nothing to get his girl to trust in him and give him a second chance.  Caynan had to work double this time around because the first time he worked his charm on her even though it took him a little bit of time to win her, but this second time around it was going to be harder because Hadley had moved on and had a boyfriend she was serious about and now Caynan was back and he was f*cking with her emotions all over again.

Can Hadley handle this, can she give the boy of her dreams a second chance?  We all deserve a second chance and if he's willing to prove that he's a changed man, then I don't see why she can't right?  Caynan had the looks of a god and every girl wanted a piece of him, but it seems like Caynan only wants ONE girl and that's Hadley <3

I was drawn to this story and to be honest with you, when I saw the cover of this book, it picked my interest immediately and then I read the synopsis and I knew I had to read it.  I will tell you that I absolutely and utterly enjoyed this second chance story.  I love these types of stories because there's always instances that will tug at your heart and make you keep wondering if there will be a second chance or not!

J. Nathan did a fantastic job with this story and I can't wait to read more from this author!

About the Author
J. Nathan is the author of the new adult novels Before Hadley, Until Alex, and Since Drew. When she's not writing, she's a total romance junkie! Add an alpha male who's unlikable in the beginning...even better. Happy endings are a must. Love triangles and negative people are the bane of her existence. Her family, friends, guys in backwards hats, and watermelon margaritas are the light.
