In a novel that's perfect for fans of Abbi Glines and Jessica Sorensen, USA Today bestselling author Lauren Layne delivers a sexy take on the timeless question: Can a guy and a girl really be “just friends”?

When Parker Blanton meets Ben Olsen during her freshman year of college, the connection is immediate—and platonic. Six years later, they're still best friends, sharing an apartment in Portland's trendy Northwest District as they happily settle into adult life. But when Parker's boyfriend dumps her out of the blue, she starts to wonder about Ben's no-strings-attached approach to dating. The trouble is, even with Ben as her wingman, Parker can't seem to get the hang of casual sex—until she tries it with him.

The arrangement works perfectly . . . at first. The sex is mind-blowing, and their friendship remains as solid as ever, without any of the usual messy romantic entanglements. But when Parker's ex decides he wants her back, Ben is shocked by a fierce stab of possessiveness. And when Ben starts seeing a girl from work, Parker finds herself plagued by unfamiliar jealousy. With their friendship on the rocks for the first time, Parker and Ben face an alarming truth: Maybe they can't go back. And maybe, deep down, they never want to.

Reading this book felt like I was watching a beautiful romance movie on tv.

I have to say that these friends to lover books really keep me hooked.  I love the fact that their relationship starts off as friends that evolves as lovers in the end.  But the whole process in getting to that lovers stage just consumes you because you have to read how that became about.

It's crazy how you are best friends one moment and lovers the next and never expected for your friendship to take a turn from friends to lovers, it's like BOOM feelings just start coming out that you've never realized you felt.  Like how is that even possible that you don't know how you feel about a person!!

Ben and Parker both sacrificed their feelings for each other.  Once they became "friends with benefits" they both hoped that their best friends relationship wouldn't get affected, but we all know that it never goes back to normal once sex comes in the picture.  But they both start realizing that their feelings for each other are more than just platonic and they don't know how to express them to each other for fear that the other will not accept it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story one of my favorite types of reads, sweet, sexy and funny!  This is the first book I read from this author, and it definitely won't be my last!  Any book that has me hooked from page one til the end will definitely get five stars for me and this was no exception ;)

5 star read.
