![]() Ethan is the boy who climbed into my bedroom every night. He's everything I love. Laced with everything I despise. He's every happy memory. And every shattered dream. He's my everything. But he broke every part of me. I'm supposed to hate him. But I can't. I don't know how. 4 Star Review by Ashley I knew from the very first page of Broken Dreams that this was going to be an emotional journey. What can I say about Callie Anderson and her ability to just rip my heart out and put it back together that hasn't been said before? Nothing I guess... I really liked how the story bounced back and forth between the past and the present. It really allowed me to connect to why Leslie reacted the way she did. I wasn't quite sure how Leslie would handle everything that was thrown into her lap when a terrible circumstance forces her back to the place she vowed to never return to, A place that haunts her. A place where her dreams were destroyed. A place where her heart was broken. Home. What was waiting for her was more than she knew what to do with. Strained relationships. Bitter former classmates. Haunted memories. Ethan. Oh sweet Ethan. That man and his infinite patience just made me melt. The way he defended and protected Leslie. The way he let her feel and heal from all the pain of their past. The way he loved the woman she was now. Just swooooooon! But life and responsibilities came calling and Leslie is forced to make a hard choice. One she wants help with. One Ethan won't make for her. One he can't make for her. Ugh- I heart was breaking for these two all over again! It couldn't end this way could it? They needed to be happy- they deserved to be happy. Sigh- Broken Dreams proves that first love, if it's true love- like Leslie and Ethan's, always deserves a second chance. About the Author Callie Anderson is a wife, mother and writer, who embraces the truth, then weaves it into a magical tale of romance and heartache.
