My name is Cassie Healy. I'm twenty-two years old and I've had to sneak around to be able to have a relationship with the man I love because of my overbearing parents.
So what if Brantley Moxin has a criminal record? He's who I chose to be with.
Leaving town was our only option. One night we packed up a few things and hit the road, bound for a new chance at a future together.
I thought it was going to be beautiful; something my parents would come to appreciate after time. Instead I've been thrown into a life I wouldn't wish on anyone. Now I have nowhere to go - a family obviously ashamed of what I've done.
This is my mess to clean up, and I'm afraid I'm in too deep for that to happen.

This is the first book I read from Jennifer Foor and I honestly have to say that I highly enjoyed this book.  This is about a girl who needs to redeem herself, prove to her loved ones that she can definitely change and even though she's made bad decisions, she can turn around and rectify her mistakes.

This book focuses on Cassie and the struggles she goes through with her family and the man she proclaims to love.  He makes her feel things that are so unlike her and she'll do anything for this man.  He is a bad guy with a criminal record but that doesn't seem to affect Cassie in the least, until Brant starts making her do things that she normally would never in her wildest dreams even think of doing.  But since she loves him so much she will go through great lengths to make him happy.

Cassie finds herself in a situation that she can't seem to get out of.  She has to decide whether she wants to continue helping Brant or should she walk away from him forever and go back home?  She is stubborn and doesn't want to call her family because she feels like she's going to be told the "I told you so" line and that's the last thing she wants to hear.

Cassie blames herself for what happens to Brant but she has to understand that she's not to blame.  He is the one who got himself into trouble and he was the only one who was going to be able to get himself out of it.

Cassie meets Logan, an FBI agent who wants to help her.  He can't seem to understand the pull he has towards her but he can't help it and he wants to help her.

Feelings between them start growing and find themselves admitting to each other that what they're feeling is more than just mere friendship.  Can they let go of the past and move forward?

Logan has demons that he can't seem to shake off either and hopes that maybe by meeting Cassie he can change.

These two broken people being together can be a good thing.  They can help each other out and move forward.  They can most definitely have a happily ever after right?

Cassie needs to find herself and she thinks that by going back home and actually deciding to do something with her life she can move forward.

I definitely had a strong pull towards these characters.  At times I felt like Cassie had it in her to stand up and leave Brant, but then I felt her weakness.  But I can't blame her.  When you love someone, love is blind and no matter how bad or good the person is, in your eyes they're always going to be good especially if they tell you things you want to hear and shows you how much they love  you and it seemed like Brant was doing just that with Cassie.  He was  great manipulator.

I'm just glad justice was made and everyone moved forward.

A total thumbs up for me.  I love the kind of books that have you going with a little bit of action involved and Cassie definitely had some action!
