Choosing Us was some next level feelings. Holy geez talk about angst. Talk about longing and heartbreak and hope and pain. Talk about love... I loved seeing the Aiden's progression. From the scared little boy, to the hopeful and protective teen. To the loving young man and to the broken man. All sides of him were fascinating and the more I learned, the more I wanted to know... But it was Camila with her sass and kind heart that made this work. A perfect, present balance to the pain and absence of Aiden in his children's lives. I loved how she saw each of the children for who they were. She understood their hurt and worked to make them each feel seen. Accepted. Understood. Even when they pushed back, and tested her at every turn. I could feel it bubbling, simmering, the moment when Camila would finally meet and confront Aiden. To find out what was really going on in his house and life. But nothing could've prepared her for how it would all shake out. My eyes are still huge. My jaw is still hanging open.
