This author really knows how to write a damn good story that will have you salivating with every swipe of the page. In this mafia story we get a ruthless mafioso named Ben who was not expecting to take over in this kind of life, he had no choice but he certainly jumped into the task of taking over without any qualms. Ben disappeared from Chicago one night without a trace and the Lawson girls were stumped that he would disappear like this. Years later Ben returns to Chicago to attend a funeral of a good friend and that's where he sees the Lawson sisters again. But he's never had feelings for his ex, Saskia -- no, he's always harbored feelings for Sierra but Sierra was too young at the time, but he was still drawn to her. He also discovers something that Sierra had been hiding from him for several years and that really had him by surprise and down right angry. Now that Ben is back in Sierra's life, he intends to stay in her life and he knows that this is not the life he would like for her but he's too selfish and will keep her anyways. But there are people and lies and deceit that will all come into the picture that will take an unexpected turn and will have you flipping through those pages anxiously wanting to know what in the world is going on! This was definitely a book on my top read, I was so damn into this book that it was so hard to put down.
