I am a big fan of this series where Marie James finds a good balance between humor, drama and heat. And Contingency Plan was no exception. I liked that Flynn saw Remington. Really saw who she was beyond the magazine articles and photos, to the tender hearted and lonely woman she was. She stirred things in him that he wasn't willing to admit until it was almost too late. Seeing the broody and seemingly unaffected security guard brought to his knees by the spitfire that was Remington Blair was equal parts infuriating and entertaining. But even with feelings starting to mount, circumstances weren't in their favor. Remington and Flynn couldn't be more different if they tried. Disciplined vs. wild. Proactive vs. reactive. Calm vs. emotional. And that is exactly why I liked the dynamic between them. The push and pull. The battle of wits and wills. The simmering sexual tension that was just waiting to explode. Marie James sure kept me guessing as to how everything would pan out for these two who lived very different lives. But that ending! Talk about a shocker!
