Pregnant at forty-two? Back the cow up... Harland Bull Eaton has lost many things—his first wife, his beloved mother, those three women he proposed to . . . Oh, and there was that time he almost lost the family dairy farm due to a scandal. He’s losing faith in just about everything, especially love. But one night, his friends give him a dare. No commitments. No heartbreak. Just buy that gorgeous redhead a drink. The big-city bombshell he’s set his eyes on swirls him into a tailspin that lands them in bed for a one-night stand he’s pretty sure he’ll never forget. But this time, he swears, he won’t let his heart ride herd on his common sense. Recently separated and newly unemployed, Scarlett Russell is at a crossroads. With no other plan than visiting a friend in Vermont, the last thing she expects is a hunky, silver fox offering to buy her a drink. Even less expected is when she raises that offer to “take me to bed, cowboy.” She just wants one night to forget everything gone wrong. Turns out once won’t be nearly enough. Won’t ever be enough, feeling the way she does. But secrets and an unexpected surprise are a lot to handle . . . unless these two can break a trail to an unexpected happily ever after. 4 Heart Review by Ashley Oh my cows! While I am not the biggest fan of accidental pregnancy, I absolutely devoured this book. The first meeting between Scarlett and Bull was playful and hot and I couldn't wait to see what L.B. Dunbar had in store for them as the story unfolded. I loved Bull. He was such a good man. A kind man. Dedicated. Loyal. Hard working. Generous. Not afraid to love even though he had gotten his heart broken in big ways more than once. Also nursing a tender heart, Scarlett. She had taken a few big blows recently and was ready to just unwind. When the most unexpected of situations brings them together again it was a whirlwind of getting to know you and falling deeper everyday. Now if they could only get out of their own way and get on the same page. Especially when some truths were revealed that shook the soft ground they were standing on. Bull and Scarlett's journey of two people who had been burned and found love again was tender, witty, ripe with emotion and grand gestures gone wrong. Full of family, friendship and forgiveness, Cowboy was a true delight to read and I can't wait to see what is coming for those Eaton boys! About the Author I’ve been accused of having an over-active imagination. To my benefit, this imagination has created over twenty novels, including the creation of a small-town world (Sensations Collection), rock star mayhem (Legendary Rock Star series), MMA chaos (Paradise Stories), rom-com for the over forty (The Sex Education of M.E.), and a suspenseful island for redemption (The Island Duet). My alter ego, elda lore, creates magical romance through mythological retellings (Modern Descendants). My life revolves around a deep love of reading about fairy tales, medieval knights, regency debauchery, and strong alpha males. I love a deep belly laugh, a strong hug, and an occasional margarita. My other loves include being mother to four grown children and wife to the one and only.
