In the follow up to “Chasing the Wild Sparks,” Hadley Beckett’s quest for wedded bliss perseveres… What would you do if the love of your life were closer to making your dreams come true? Riding high in her relationship with her sportscaster/local daredevil boyfriend Finn Wilder, Hadley Beckett makes plans concerning her future with Finn. Big plans. Infamously anti-marriage, Finn promised Hadley he’d consider taking her to the altar if she gives him more time. Diving headfirst and with encouragement from friends, Hadley formulates her own way to handle Finn if he can’t commit to her soon. Knowing she has an uphill climb ahead of her, Hadley is still determined to succeed, yet is she unwittingly destined to fail? Review by BrittanyBook number two in the Wild Sparks series by Ren Alexander has left me desperate for more Finn and Becks. I am left with so many emotions, so many questions, so many hopes for this couple… This book was all around phenomenal. What in the hell does he dream about? Probably bridges and blow jobs. Actually, Finn Wilder dreams about his Becks. About being with her in every way, holding her at night, kissing away her fears. He even dreams about… well, I can’t tell you, because it’s a deep, dark secret that only Ricky, his best friend, really knows. I don’t care if you’ve been baptized or not. I know what’s in your heart and soul and that’s why I love you so much. And if God has a problem with it, then I don’t want to go to heaven. Hadley Beckett feels insecure in her relationship with Finn. She believes she’s not enough, that she can never be who he wants. I mean, he won’t marry her, won’t have a baby with her, and they’ve been together for over three years. Someone has to give, but who will it be? In Daring the Wild Sparks, Finn and Hadley are fighting more often that usual. And about serious topics too. Neither one will budge on their stance, hoping the other will get tired and give in. That’s never going to happen, though, and it just might lead to the end of their relationship. He is the real thing, my epic love. Ren Alexander has once again killed me with her words. I was so into this book, ignoring all my other duties as a blogger and student. I was captivated from the beginning of the very first book. I love that I can feel such emotion towards these characters. I admit, there were points where I hated Finn. Yes, I know. How is that possible? He’s hot, funny, and just all around amazing. BUT, I also wanted to strangle Hadley, but I can’t. They’re not real. Sorry for bursting your bubble. There was one point where I was absolutely certain that Finn was going to propose, then I turn the page, and NOPE. Big smack in the face. He didn’t. But, I’m not saying he didn’t at all… You have to read to find out. Ren Alexander, I am LOVING your work. I hate that it took me so long to read these. I am definitely in love with Ricky Tesco, though, Finn’s cop best friend. Yeah, he’s mine, so ladies, back off. ;) This book receives five stars from me, for keeping me in suspense and making it almost impossible to put down my kindle. Those are the best types of books, that’s for sure. If you want to read this, make sure you read book one first, Chasing the Wild Sparks. I highly recommend it!
