've never been one to follow the rules...or the law, for that matter. But when you find yourself behind bars and being offered the opportunity of a lifetime, you take it. I agreed to race motorcycles for Johnny Knight. A very powerful man who wanted me on his team, even knowing I was a liability. But will he still feel that way once he finds out that I had a one-night stand with his daughter? I didn't mean for it to happen. I didn't even know who she was until she walked into his office wearing my shirt from the night before. Too bad that was all she wanted-one night. It really didn't matter who she was, I wanted more. So when she ran, I followed. I should have let her go. That would have been best for both of us. But I have never done what was right, why start now? I've always been willing to take a risk, no matter what it would cost me. And I knew she was worth it all.

I'm Erik Dashling, you can call me Dash. This is my story of how I willingly risked one dream for another. But everyone knows that now all dreams come true.

Shantel has been one of my favorite authors.  I have read the Undescribable series and I absolutely loved it.  I actually devoured every single book as they became available.

Now, even though I loved Slade and Samantha in the Undescribable series, I have to say that I loved Dash and Tabatha even more and my heart literally shattered with this whole novel and how Dash actually risked everything over the love he had for Tabatha.

Dash was known for his reckless behavior, he had a rap sheet this long (I mean literally long) but he wasn't a bad kid by no means.  He just liked to play with danger and loved to get himself in trouble.  He had parents that pretty much neglected him his whole life, his grandparents raised him until his grandpa died when Dash was only 10 years old and then his grandma followed suit two years later.  Dash had no alternative other than to move back with his parents even though they never cared for him or about him.

That right there, broke my heart as I was reading how he told Tabatha how he was brought up.  Who in their right mind would have children and just neglect them later on in life.  That's just mean and cruel.  Any way, as Dash had to grow up pretty quickly, what helped was the fact that his parents had money and his grandparents left him a nice chunk of change so Dash was able to live nicely with that money.

Tabatha also came from money, Dash was going to start working for her dad racing bikes so Tabatha and Dash had to keep their relationship under wraps because of the media and the gossip.

But it came to a point where jealousy, lies and deceit drew them apart, including jealous exes that wanted to intervene in Tabatha and Dash's lives and make sure to separate them.  But it seemed like their love was much stronger and they overcame any obstacle that got in their way.

This last book literally shattered me and I wanted to scream and shout when I got to the last chapter.  I just can't believe the ending to this book and I was really surprised by it.  I didn't like it but it still was a happy ending -- not the one I wanted but not everything has to end in a happily ever after correct!

Shantel is an amazing author and I have started reading her books without even glancing at the synopsis because they intrigue me and they have some type of suspense that actually get you hooked and you can't stop reading because you need to find out what the heck is going on.

Total 4.5 Dashing stars!
