She thought he’d be happy to see her…

…but all she found was anger.

Why did Eden hate her?

The memory of that day haunted her. Eden told her to stay at the safe house while his team went on their mission. Then she found out he was being setup. Shylah didn’t have a choice, she had to do something.

It was a risk.

And she paid dearly.

Eden and his team had aborted just in time. They lived to fight another day. Fourteen months later and Eden was surviving. There was only one question on his mind, who had betrayed them?

Could it have been Shylah?

In the complex world of international espionage and war, love is often a causality. What will it take for her to conquer the mistrust and win him back?

You’ll adore this military romance, because the truth can be hard to believed when all you’ve know are lies.
Get it now.

3.5 Heart Review by Ashley

I really liked the first book in this series and I was curious to know what Nyssa Kathryn had in store for the broody and standoffish Eden. And let me say, I was not expecting this. The opening alone gave me the big eyes and had me itching to see what the fallout would be.

Talk about two strong willed and hard headed leading characters. Both Eden and Shylah were so determined to protect the other that their actions didn't necessarily reflect that choice. They were both holding onto some pain and didn't quite know how to let it go. But when the danger starts to increase, all of Eden's protective instincts come out. It was just the thing they needed to get on the same page.

I will say that I found the actual connection between Shylah and Eden a little lacking. I get that they had met before and had history, but that link didn't fully come through here (for me). That being said, the way they were able to sort through their past and find a way forward even with all the unknown surrounding them showed how deep their love was.

I liked the way Nyssa Kathryn gave me some answers about what was happening with Project Arma but left me with even more questions. It was a great way to keep the story line flowing into the next book in the series. And I for one can not wait to see what the fiery Lexi has coming her way.
