I didn’t know darkness and evil lurked inside me until I had to murder in order to survive. Forced to become my own worst enemy. With so much blood on my hands, I was surprised I could still see my own skin.
I killed.
I tortured.
I loved…
I played God while I was rotting in Hell. Thriving on control and power was the only way I knew how to live. There were no other options.
If you weren’t my friend, you were my foe.
If you weren’t with me, you were against me.
Traitors, as I called them. There were no imaginary lines. I’d crossed them all. No boundaries. No second chances. No redemption.
Not for me.
For them.
For anyone.
Only for her…
She loved me. Always convinced I was a saint, never believing I was just another sinner.
A fucking monster.

Until it was too late.

Except, I didn’t choose this life. It. Chose. Me.

4 Star Review by Ashley

There has been so much hype surrounding the release of El Santo that I was a hair nervous that it wouldn't live up to all the hype. But I should know by now to never doubt M. Robinson. She is the queen of the unexpected and can rip my heart out like no other. Needless to say, this book was no exception...

Holy heartbreaking and opening! My heart raced and ached so much that I had to take a moment to catch my breath! As it turns out, there was no stopping for Damien once things got started. He was in way over his head and he knew it. Amira was his weakness and he did his best to make sure nobody ever found out. Even risking his own happiness with her fury to ensure it. But Amira would not be deterred. This girl, who was much older than her age, knew him. She knew the demons he faced and battled on a daily basis and she loved him despite it. Because of it.

These two had me hanging on every single word waiting for them to get over themselves and get it together. Cue the hot- because Amira and her innocence and Damien with his need for dominance was another level of hotness! Just when I thought maybe these two would finally have what they both wanted, each other....BOOM! There comes the twist- I should've known better. GAH!! I need to know what's next for these two like yesterday!
