Laney Walker is a quick witted, athletic, southern tomboy who lets few get too close, using her sarcastic zingers to deflect. She also has no idea how others view her, Evan having protected and coveted her since they were children. But college puts a gap between Laney and Evan that neither of them were prepared for- old relationships are tested, new ones are formed and nothing will ever be the same.

Especially when in walks one Dane Kendrick, not at all the familiar, southern charmer of home, but an animal all his own.A story of growing up, friendship, loyalty, first love, primal love...and life.

Mature content.

Let me just say, I love S.E. Hall. She is my number one favorite author. From the beginning of this book, the first in the Evolve series, I fell in love with the Crew.            Evan and Laney grew up together. They lived practically next door from each other and did everything together. They often bonded over Disney movies, Laney’s favorite, and would attend each other’s sporting events.

Laney is a champion softball player. She loves Disney, especially Disney princesses. She’s fun, witty, smart, and very beautiful. No wonder Evan fell for her.

Evan is a good guy. He wants the very best for Laney and will do anything for her. He is the most proper Southern gentleman and is perfect for Laney. Very attractive, he constantly battles stares from other women and denies their advances whenever he goes out.

Evan finally took a chance and began a relationship with Laney. Right after they started, they had to separate to go to different schools.

While Laney meets new people and struggles to deal with the distance, Evan is out partying. When he makes a mistake and it gets back to Laney, she is devastated.

Laney has the Crew to help put her back together. Sawyer, Dane, Zach, Tate and Bennett. One of these people forms an unlikely relationship with Laney, and everything is good again, up until Evan makes a decision that could change everything.

S.E. Hall, I just have to say, I freaking love you. I fell in love with your writing from the first sentence. I have heard so many amazing things about this series, and all of them were spot on.

Five stars for this novel! Check out the others in the series, Embrace, Entangled, and on February 6, 2014, Entice!
