4.5 Star Review by AshleyWOW! Just wow. Chelle Bliss blew me away with this book. Enshrine is very different from her other books but still has her signature blend of humor and pure alpha male. But there is an emotional factor in this one that I haven't read from her before. It pulled at the heart and touched on a very personal note for me- as I'm sure it will with many readers. I get Callie. She is so remarkably real. Not only do I feel her pain and anger and desperation and hopelessness but I feel her need to latch onto something more. Life hasn't been kind to her at all. And with the latest curve ball it throws her way she is left questioning every choice she has ever made- from the shoes she buys to the men she's been with. But there is one man who won't let her give up or give in. Enter Bruno- This hero is extra special and is battling for the title of favorite of her men for me. I love this man- everything about him. From his patience to his relentless door banging and breaking in to the hand holding and the relationship with his family. But, he has his secrets, and plenty of them, but the unknown is driving Callie even more bonkers than she already is. My heart absolutely broke for him when I learned about the tragedy that befell him when he was younger. Thank goodness he used that as a motivator and didn't let it change the great man that he was. My favorite thing was how he gave Callie the push she needed but he also didn't belittle or downplay her fears, He encouraged her to experience but not wallow in them. I was waiting with baited breath the whole time I was reading for the other shoe to drop and to find out what Bruno's big secret was. Its a whopper let me tell you! However, it was perfectly fitting for the guy that I got to know through the pages of this story. I can't say enough about how much of an emotional toll Enshrine took on me. I was up, down, down even further, a little sideways and then, miraculously, I was upright on my feet. Chelle Bliss has proven that she is a master of the written word. There was a great balance between the drama and angst and yes, there was even humor laced throughout this one. And how can I forget that wonderfully, face splitting grin causing ending! While Bruno and Callie's love story was far from conventional, it was wonderfully theirs and beautiful in its brokenness. It goes to show that love does heal, even when the odds are against you About the Author
