The thing was that Mallory was too young for him at the time and he vowed to wait for her. So he did everything in his power to get her to be where she needed to be once she graduated from college. Mallory has never lived a simple life. She didn't have parents, she was an orphan living in an orphanage but she was smart and she had that going for her because she worked hard to get into a an ivy league college and scored a great intership at Osborrne Corporation. Mallory has never dated because her best friend has always persuaded her not, turns out that, that best friend was working for Oz, but Mallory didn't know that.
