The moment you think you have it all is when it vanishes right before your eyes.

He had one final mission, but who knew it would go wrong? Kaleb Maverick is now fighting for his life. The life he wants to share with the woman he loves. The Fire inside him not only burns for her, it sizzles.

Jade Elliott has lost one man in her life. She's determined not to lose another. The coldness in her heart can't handle another loss like that. She refuses to let Kaleb go.

He's the Fire to her Ice. She's the Ice to his Fire. Together they cause an explosion so hot that someone is bound to get torched.

4 Star Review by Ashley

Can you say intense? That is exactly what Fire by Kathy Coopmans and Hilary Storm is. I was itching to get my greedy eyes on it after the heart stopping way that Ice ended. You have got to read that first because there is a lot packed into those pages and the events of this one pick up right where Ice left off. My heart was racing as I was taken back to the stunning predicament the group found themselves in...

Jade, the firecracker that she is will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing to get her Maverick back. I had a hunch who was behind all the mayhem (and was right) but I still wasn't prepared for the level of anger, hate, deceit and destruction this guy had within his black soul. Be warned the things Kaleb endures are more than cringe-worthy. I physically recoiled more than once with the torture he received. This man is one rough, tough alpha who can give it as good as he gets. As Kaleb's chance for revenge comes he is ready to jump at it but also a touch hesitant because there will be fall out.

This mission is the one he needs to complete, he just has to make sure all the pieces are in place and that his women are safe. I loved seeing Kaleb's softer side, especially when it came to his mom. However, Jade is having none of it. She throws down the hammer and stands firm in her decision even when it was tearing her up. When the fight comes to her door step she bides her time before she makes her move.

Holy wowza! The ending to Fire had my heart racing. It was the dramatic and fitting conclusion that I had been waiting for. The duo of Hilary Storm and Kathy Coopmans is a force to be reckoned with. These two bring the danger and sexiness with just the right amount of humor to keep it from getting too heavy. My fingers are crossed that this won't be the last time these two team up or the last I'll be reading from this cast of characters.
