It was small town romance with a big broken heart that needed some dancing to bring it back to life. Be still my heart, this book from Melanie Harlow just hit something inside me that made my heart ache and soar all at the same time. I really liked Hannah. She was rightfully devastated by the sudden and unexpected loss of her husband but somehow found a way to push through. To survive. To try and make the best of an impossible situation for her and her little girl, Abby. All was going as good as it could until Wes, her late husband's twin brother, strolls back into town. Sigh, Wes. That man swooped in a stole the show with his kindness and understanding. And his sexy body that he more than knew how to use. But it was the way he was with Hannah that made me swoon the hardest. With so much at stake, they had to take it slow His patience knew no bounds and I loved how he pushed her at pace that she was comfortable with. That's not to say it wasn't steamy because it sure was! These two steamed up the sheets, and the shower and the car and the...you get the point! I also loved getting to catch up with Pete and Georgia and Margot and Jack from some of Melanie Harlow's other books. These characters added a necessary level of depth to both Hannah and Wes. And don't even get me started on the cuteness explosion that is Abby. That little girl with her joyful spirit was the light touch to break up all of the heaviness in everyone's heart. From pie to old fears and promises to family, From this Moment was one emotional turn after the other. Wes and Hannah's story is the epitome of following your heart.
