Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again. Until years later when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help. The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows it's all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But he's got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks she'll help him train for a world championship fight. Except Talia has forgotten exactly what made Foster famous. The man has dedicated his life to victory. He's steadfast. He's determined. And he won't stop fighting until he's won her heart. 4 Heart Review by Ashley There is something about getting to Quincy that feels like coming home. And after the way Devney Perry left me hanging with that tease at the end of Juniper Hill, I couldn't wait to get back. I adored Talia. She was kind and resilient with a heart that bled for her family and hometown. And the one who broke her years ago. Except when Foster strolled into her town all the anger and pain she had been holding onto came pouring out. I'm not going to lie, it took me a bit to warm up to Foster. But I did like that he wasn't deterred by Talia's frosty reception. He was relentless in going after what he wanted and that was another chance. It was the fight of his life and he was in it for the win. More than that though, I loved that Talia didn't just let him waltz back in with his apology and get his way. She made him earn her time and trust. Not just with his words but his actions too. And even then, her reluctance was palpable. These two were so obviously meant for one another, if they could just let go of all that was keeping them tethered to the past. Talia and Foster's second-chance romance was equal parts heated and tender and left me wanting more.
