I have to admit I wasn't quite prepared for the emotional ride A.K. Evans took me on while reading Haunted. I liked Liv and her straight forward attitude. She didn't pull punches. She knew what she wanted and she went after it. Except when it came to Brixton. Her lifelong crush. Her brother's best friend. The man she turned to when she needed help. The chemistry between those two was undeniable. Even when Brixton tried to keep his distance- physically and emotionally. But when the threats and danger to Liv kept growing without any clues as to who was behind it all, everything changed. Was I able to guess the 'twist' before it was revealed? Yes. Did it take away from my overall enjoyment of the book? Nope. I was still reading as fast as my eyeballs would allow to see how it would all play out. Whew! Liv and Brixton's friends-to-lovers romance brought the heat and hurt in equal measure. Their guilt and pain ran deep but in each other they found the peace their hearts needed. About the Author A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances.
