No one’s promised tomorrow. And Chet Rhodes, the drummer of Blow Hole, is all about living for today. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll—anything to help him forget his deadly secret and keep him detached. But when he meets Hope, a bitchy brunette with sarcastic wit and a deadly right hook, his carefully constructed defenses break down. For the first time ever, he wants more than a one night stand. But one night might be all he has left. Hope Iverson holds a secret that could potentially destroy everything she's built. Hardened with a short fuse, her past has left her emotionally unavailable. That is, until she meets the charismatic drummer for Blow Hole. His smart mouth has the ability to make her smile, and his inked body makes her feel things she’d rather not. But scars leave you changed, and Hope isn’t sure there’s enough of herself left to give. In the end, promises will be broken. Lives will be destroyed. And Hope must decide what's most important to her—secrets, love, or life. Review by Lorena What an emotionally charged story this was for me! I was an emotional wreck when I got about half way through this book. I didn't know if I wanted to curse Ms. Vargo for putting me in such misery reading this book that shattered my heart in pieces and then miraculously it was put back together in the end, it was so beautifully written. The synopsis of this book couldn't have described this book any better than it already has! Two people who hold secrets that will ultimately either destroy them or unite them even more. Hope despises Chet. He is a womanizer and that sickens Hope, every time she sees him with a groupie she just wants to hurl. Chet is taking his life day by day and just wants to live it up and make the best of it. He has put his sights on Hope but Hope can't stand him, so what can Chet do to make her break down her barriers and accept at least one night with him? Can Hope break down her walls and accept a night with Chet, or will that consume her too much and want more in the end? This book was the death of me. I was in verge of tears with these two characters. They made me angry and they made me smile all at the same time. I have to say that Ms. Vargo has a gift with writing and her stories are all unique and will suck you right in as soon as you get started. It's been a few months since I read a book that had me in tears, and this book right here.....had me in major tears!! 5 MAJOR STARS ABOUT THE AUTHOR PURCHASE LINKS
