Beyah comes from a life of poverty and neglect; Samson from a family of wealth.

When the two find themselves spending the summer as neighbors, they soon realize money is one of the few things they don't have in common.

Their bond is too intense to ignore, but with only ten weeks separating them from the start of their new lives on opposite ends of the country, Beyah and Samson decide to stay in the shallow end of a summer fling.

What they don't realize is that a rip current is coming and it's about to drag both their hearts out to sea.

5 Heart Review by Lorena

This has become my favorite Colleen Hoover book this year!

Samson and Beyah couldn't be much more different than what we expected. I could't believe the journey of these two souls and what brought them together. Beyah has always lived a hard life and has never had anyone love her the way a child should be loved by their parents. She always guarded her heart because she didn't think she would ever get anyone to love her the way she should be loved without being left in the end.

Samson represented everything he wasn't. But what Samson did show Beyah was that she was worth more than she ever thought she could be worth. Samson listened to her and he was the most attentive person when it came to her. Samson was very closed and kept his guard up. He didn't like to talk about his life but he did give Beyah little glimpses here and there about himself. I loved that he was so mysterious. But that didn't deter Beyah from hanging out with him. Something about him attracted Beyah and she knew she could trust him completely so she opened up to him and told him about her life. He didn't see her any differently, he didn't judge her upbringing, I think that brought him closer to her.

The camaraderie that they shared was extraordinary. The way they got along and were so similar in so many ways it was beautiful. I loved this story so much. It made me happy, it made sad, it made me emotional and there were a few times that my eyes filled up.

But man this book was straight up AMAZING!
