Mix it with Melanie Harlow's wit and charm and I was all in for Hideaway Heart. Right from the start I knew Kelly was going to be a spitfire who gave as good as she got and boy was I right. I liked Kelly's spunk and sass. How she wanted to step into the future of her career on (more of) her own terms. How she wasn't going to let her brother bully her into having a bodyguard on her first vacation in years. Too bad she lost that battle when Xander showed up. To say these two butted heads from the jump would be an understatement. It didn't take long for either of them to cool their jets. I liked seeing Xander's softer, yet still protective side. And the way he empowered Kelly to speak up for herself...total swoon city. But as their time together was winding down and questions still swirling around the leak in Kelly's corner Xander knew he couldn't say goodbye yet. It was a whirlwind of miscommunication, stage lights and missing pieces finally coming together that had me holding my breath and reading as fast as I could to see how it would all pan out. And while I would've liked a bit more of the aftermath of everything that went down, Kelly and Xander's romance has me eager to get back to Cherry Tree Harbor.
