Kenner has brought us a delightful new series with completely different characters to the table. I love second chance romance novels because it gives me all the feels. I always feel my heart break when you find out the reason why the couple couldn't be together and once they're back face-to-face and one or the other is trying to make things right between them, it just heartbreaking because there's always something or someone in the way of these folks getting their happily ever after and they have to work extra hard to get it. Brooke and Spencer, once upon a time they were an item, until they weren't. Brooke comes from a prestigious family and obviously she can't be seen with the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. When things blow up between them and they end up splitting up, Spencer is heartbroken but finds himself moving on with his life. These two eventually end up meeting again, years later. What do you think will happen with them? Will they rekindle their love or will there be animosity? How does Spencer feel about having to work with his ex-fiancé? Although Spencer has a lot of animosity towards Brooke and doesn't think he can deal with working aside her, you can't deny the sparks that ignite between them. These Man of the Month books are soooooo worth reading. Anything by J. Kenner is a must read for me. I absolutely love her work and I love how she keeps her characters intertwined and I'm sure that's how these Man of the Month series is going to be.
