Gage knocked up his ex-girlfriend's cousin and even though they may not have known each other all that well when it happened, he still stood by her every step of the way. In that process, they were able to get to know each other and had some wild crazy sex as well. You can't deny a pregnant woman sex because she'll go crazy right! Well Katie might not have been all keen about having a baby from Gage, but shit happens and now you have to live with the consequences. Katie has a dilemma, she has nowhere to live and no money to support herself with. Her income ran out after Gage's grandma passed away. Katie was her nurse and this old lady grew fond of Katie and made it clear to her that she would not leave her unprotected if she were to pass away, and she definitely delivered on her promise! Once Gage and Katie's relationship started to really develop in the romantic sense, they were both scared that either one or the other was going to end up leaving. Gage and Katie both had something in common, they came from broken families and didn't deal well with abandonment. Now, can they only promise each other that they will always be there for each other or is that going to be a difficult task for them both to fulfill? I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time when it came down to reading a book and "Stella" sure knows how to write a rom-com/sports novel. The writing was impeccable. The storyline will hook you the minute you start reading. Gage really won my heart with his crazy banter. I loved how he could rile up Katie with all the nicknames he had for her. He was just something else!! This book was full of humor and it had it's sentimental and emotion parts as well. You can't have a book full of just humor, there has to be some kind of emotion going on as well and this book delivered it.
