Hostile Workplace started with a bang and I was hooked on Sam's story from the first dirty and flirty page! It took a bit to really get to know the real reason Sam behaves the way he does but when the truth came out my heart just hurt for him. For the hopeful boy he was and the hardened man he had become because of it. Yes he has a fun, if not nosy family and a good job but he is stuck. He hides in his work and does what he think is best, even at the risk of his own happiness. But when the reason for his stagnant life, Lydia, shows up, things start to get really intense and hot. The energy between these two is electric. From the conference room to the boardroom these two really steam things up! But when two people love as hard as they did and get burned, the ugly side can come out. And it did. More than once. There was years of pain, anger and resentment to work through, but could they? Would they? It is true that the worst situations can bring out the best in us and that holds true for Sam and Lydia. They showed their true colors when the truth of everything was finally laid out. WOW! I can honestly say I didn't see that coming! And that ending...just yes. It was Sam to a T!
