Jackson Lombardi refused to grieve for the loss of his wife, Gabi, living the past two years for his daughter and work. Everyone pushed for him to move on, but his heart was fighting a battle between holding on to the past and letting go.

Robin Patrick was a dynamo for the Marketing Department. She came in when all hell broke loose over Gabi’s death, doing everything to ease Jackson’s stress levels and keep her mind off her own problems too. Everyone thought she had it all together, not realizing she was living a lie - covering who she was for the past three years. She’s hiding from a monster who wanted to own her and her father’s company that wants to stop the investigation into his death.

She’d pulled everything off until the one person who’d been her rock had been lost to her forever. A chance encounter with her boss, in the most unlikely of places, was the beginning of her salvation and the road to a temptation she wasn’t sure she’d survive.

Jackson was a force to be reckoned with, an alpha extreme, perfect for her submissive nature. At least she could forget about her past, for a while, and enjoy the pleasures of today – knowing that an eternity would never be possible with someone who couldn’t love her as long as he held onto the memories of his wife or could it?

What he Needs is the promise of forever, but can he finally let go of the past and open his heart to the idea of new love?

NOTE: This is a Complete Novel. No cliffhanger. Dual POV. Rated 18+ due to adult language and sexual content. This is an adult contemporary erotic romance filled with suspense, light BDSM, Dom/sub play, and touching on some psychological elements. This series centers around the Prescott family, their friends, and businesses. It includes unsavory characters, a controlling ex-boyfriend, and a security team, made up of ex-military personnel, that will go to any lengths to protect this family and the ones they care about. These are stand alone books that create the series, but they do not need to be read in order. The story is more enhanced if read in order.

What a beautiful, romantic, thrilling and sad story!  The synopsis to this book grabbed my attention the moment I read that Jax had lost his wife and it was hard for him to move forward.  These sad stories always make me sappy but happy in the end....when it has a happy ending that is :)

Jax knew he needed to move on with his life after two years of mourning his dead wife but it was easier said than done.  But all the signs kept popping up on him that he needed to move forward and make himself happy along with his daughter Nikola.

Robin has been in hiding for three years and has been doing a great job of it, until she receives a threatening note making it harder for her to keep  hiding from him any longer.  Robin lived a life of hell with her ex.  At first he was the best boyfriend in the planet that treated her like a queen but one day he changed and started acting mean and would be cruel towards her and that's when she knew she had to run and hide.

Jax and his family, including his wife's family who has embraced Robin and see her like a daughter will stop at nothing to help her and try and solve the mystery of how her father died and try and find her ex who keeps sending her threatening letters.

As they try and figure out these issues, Robin and Jax start falling in love and are trying to take it slow, but at the same time they can't control the fact that they have strong feelings for each other.

Will they be able to solve her dad's mystery and get rid of her annoying ex?  Can Jax finally let go of his dead wife and move forward with Robin and be happy?

This story was beautifully written.  I haven't read the rest of the series, although they're all stand alone's I think I would like to go back and read about every individual that is part of this series.  DOM men always attract me because I love the possessiveness they show, I find that extremely sexy and ever male character in this series is a DOM!!

4.0 stars for this beautiful book!
