When I left Nashville, Tennessee, I knew deep in my heart I wouldn't be back. I knew I would never be heard on every country music station around the world, and I would never step foot on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Cold hard guilt and responsibilities that I didn't want forced me on a different path.
Me being responsible for an eighteen-month-old was a horrible idea. Me being a second grade teacher in a catholic school was plain ludicrous.
Life sucked, love hurt, and I didn't know who to pick.

This was totally a second chance book and I abso-freaking-lutely LOVED IT!

Brantley Jandt was never a one-man type of guy.  He never made promises to any girl and he surely never intended in having any children lying around, but he did have a one-night stand but never expected that he'd get a call saying that hew as going to be a father.

Any way, Kit has to leave to another country to do a documentary and she'll be gone for a year and this is when Brantley has to step up and take responsibility and look after his daughter.

What Brantley never expected once he moved to Florida and got himself a 9-5 job that he would fall head over heels in love with his co-worker and teacher, Rydell.  She definitely gave him a run for his money and she wouldn't budge and was awful with him but it seemed that the more put-off she was, the more Brantley was falling for her.

Unfortunately, during this time he was also finding himself thinking about Kit and he would have long chats with her through skype and he started realizing that he didn't have that with the teacher once they started dating.  So Brantley found himself falling in love with two women and not just one + one because his daughter stole his heart immediately.

So what does a guy do when he finds himself in this situation?  He never found himself to be a dishonest man and would never in a million years think about cheating but what does a man do who loves two women at the same time????

Jettie really surprised me with this book because I'm so used to her dark, gritty, emotional and devastating novels that this was a sweet one, totally makes you fall in love with Brantley even though he can be a jerk at times.  But he surely redeemed himself in the end and did a fine job of it.

I could never get enough of Jettie's books and each and every one has surprised me by well they are written.  They all suck you in the moment you start and you find yourself unable to stop reading once you're in.

Totally 4.5 star read for I Pick You!
