Who knew falling in love with my best friend had the potential to single-handedly destroy my entire family? For as long as I could remember I've been in love with sexy, lawyer extraordinaire Nicholas Alexander. We always had a certain chemistry growing up. Especially after we shared one passionate, forbidden, perfect kiss as teenagers. For years I hoped he could look past my overprotective brothers and our age difference so we could be more than friends, I was wrong. Four years ago I left New York and my heart behind. Now I'm back to stake a claim on the only man I've ever loved. But unbeknownst to me, things are way more complicated than I could imagine when I learn he's engaged, to my sister. Will the love and desire I feel for the one man I've ever truly wanted destroy me? Am I willing to risk it all, for a chance at everlasting love? Catherine Reed is the one woman I couldn't have but the one I always wanted. She was my best friend’s baby sister which means she was definitely off limits to me and anyone else if I had my way. Not even having a merry-go-round of beautiful girls could stop me from wanting her. Watching her leave was hard but I knew giving in to what I wanted back then would ruin her...us. All I've ever wanted was for her to be happy and to see her beautiful smile. I haven't gotten to where I am by always doing what's right. She's Back. I want Her. I have every intention of making her Mine. Review of Imperfections by Lorena Bravo to this new author because she did such an outstanding job with this first book in the Imperfections series. I was hooked immediately. I absolutely adored it! Cat and Nick have been friends since they were really young. Cat used to love hanging out with Nick and her brother Chris. They were four years older than her but she didn't care and neither did they. Cat has had a crush on Nick all her life and Nick started developing feelings for Cat once she started becoming a teenager, but he knew that he couldn't act on his feelings because of her brother and really, he knew he wasn't right for her and would eventually break her heart. Although Nick always knew in his heart that one day he would end up with Cat, one way or another. As time passed and they became adults, Cat decides to come back home after being absent for four years and she comes back to find the shocker of her life, the man of her dreams is engaged to her sister. How messed up is that!! Cat came back home with the intentions and illusions of winning Nick's heart. Nick knows he made the biggest mistake of his life by hooking up with Katie, Cat's sister. A manipulative, vindictive, piranha. Katie has always envied Cat and she's always wanted what Cat had. Cat and Nick are in a predicament because not only does Cat and Nick have feelings for each other, but now he's tied to Katie even though he doesn't love her. What can Nick and Cat do in order to be happy together? Can they make it work or will it be impossible for them to even try now that he's tied with her sister? This relationship is definitely complicated I'll tell you that and one that will have you smitten throughout the whole book. This book had me from the beginning and I'm telling you, I fell in love with both Nick and Cat. They were a perfect match made in heaven. They definitely had a tough road ahead of them and they definitely had their ups and downs and people trying to get in the way of their love. Congrats to the author on such an amazing book! After years of wanting her and fighting against myself, I finally had her. For one brief weekend I was whole, looking into the eyes of the woman I've always loved. The one person I'd do anything for. Catherine Reed is the love of my life, but I blew it when she discovered her sister and I were engaged. But things have changed. I know she doesn't want anything to do with me, she needs time. Time to heal and repair the damage the discovery of our relationship did to her and her family. I'm willing to give her time, but I will not give up on us. She is my one true addiction and a love as strong as ours is worth fighting for. Coming back to New York to be with my family and the man I’ve always loved seemed like the perfect plan. Little did I know that I’d be living in a kind of hell after my family turned against me. In the end, I had no choice but to let go of the love of my life, Nicholas Alexander. I'm not sure if I can ever truly recover from losing a once-in-a-lifetime love and I know things will never be the same with my family. I didn't think my life could get more complicated, but I was wrong. Consequences for the choices we've made may cost me everything. Review of Imperfections Come To Light by Lorena Nick and Cat's story continues in this second book. They have endured some heartache, manipulations and everyone and their mother pretty much are against Nick and Cat being together. But they can't help how they feel about each other and even though Cat is struggling with accepting the fact that Nick and Katie are having a baby together. But as much as she wants to stay away she just can't because she loves him too much. Cat has decided to step away and let Nick make a life with Katie, as much as it hurts she knows she's doing the right thing. Katie needs Nick at this time and Nick will be there for her at a most crucial time in their lives but he has vowed that he will not give up on Cat and he will do whatever it takes to be with her because she is the love of her life. Cat is an emotional wreck, but knows how to mask her emotions well. She sure was a tough cookie, but there comes a time that even though you don't want to disturb or interrupt something that you think is great with others, but you need to for your own sake and sanity. Cat has no choice but to contact Nick when she faints and ends up with a concussion due to dehydration and for other reasons and that's where it gets complicated again. Nick has decided that he's going to fight for Cat regardless if her family opposes or his. He only cares about Cat and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants and deserves and that's Cat and her love. Now I loved Nick because he was a total male alpha and didn't give a hoot if he lost his best friend or not. Enough was enough and he went through life, experienced his gigolo lifestyle and now it was time to settle down and who better than to provide for him, be there for him, and love him -- no one was better than Cat for him. She turned out to be a little kitten in the bedroom too, she would submit to his desires and he loved that about her, but over all they were just compatible and have felt that strong connection between them. In this second book, they will find themselves struggling to try and cope with loss, gain, love, struggle and forgiveness. This was a truly great ending to Cat and Nick's story. It took a lot for them to finally find their happily ever after but nothing was going to get in the way of their happiness this time! Kudo's to you Ms. Watson and thank you for giving us such a wonderful story about two people who go through a lot to finally be together. This was truly a story that will stay with me for a long time and now I can't wait to get Chris and Ava's story!! About the Author
