It Started with a Kiss by S.L. Scott

It started with a kiss.

Admittedly, it was a moment of weakness on my part. But even the strong-willed have been known to fall for a hard body underneath a tailored suit and a five o’clock shadow coating a sharp jawline.

It didn’t matter that Jackson St. James was nothing but trouble. Trouble was just my type.

Been there.
Done him.
Not making that mistake again.

We were friends, a low-key affair we designed ourselves—over before we began. After all, together we made no sense.

Jackson is into sports. I prefer the arts.
He gulps beer. I sip champagne.
While I might not be described as humble, his arrogance is through the roof.

But when he asks if we can talk, my traitorous Louboutins come to a full stop. Although I’ve seen enough movies to know how these conversations go, maybe, just maybe, he’ll surprise me.

He has before . . .

We may have started with a kiss, but how will we end?

5 Heart Review by Lorena

This was a light, easy and very fun read. I fell in love with the characters from the get-go.

Jackson and Marlow had such great chemistry and their banter was wonderful. I have to say that Jackson was just a wonderful man and any woman would fall at their feet for him. He was charismatic, charming and downright handsome. He had all the qualities a woman looks for in a man. Marlow was a very intelligent woman who knew what she wanted and even though her and Jackson had a very laid back and easy relationship/non-relationship it worked fine for them until emotions got involved and their no-strings attached relationship just got to be a little more than they both bargained for.

The question now was, were they both ready to take it to the next level or were they going to continue to keep it casual? I think they both are more invested in this than they want to admit though!

I really did enjoy this book very much and I wish I could come across these lighthearted reads more often.
