And I was not disappointed at all. Plus getting to catch up with the rest of the crew was a nice treat. I really liked Nic. She was brave and bold. Smart and savvy. She had to be in her line of work. Both of them. I loved that she stayed true to herself even when Sebastian found out about her 'other' job the way he did. He couldn't really raise too much of a stink considering how he hid in broad daylight. Using his charm and wit to get what he wanted. And this time it was Nic. I loved the way these two set aside their bickering and banded together to get to the bottom of the mess Nic found herself in. And what a wild and twisted ride it was. I can honestly say I didn't see that twist coming. Or the epic way it would all go wrong.. Whew! Talk about intense! From start to finish, Nic and Sebastian's enemies-to-lovers romance was steamy and dangerous and had me hanging on every word. And that ending...oh my goodness yes! It was the perfect way to wrap this series up.
