One single summer changed them forever, and one moment of devastating silence destroyed it all. Growing up with six siblings, Leo Preston has always struggled to find his voice. While his brothers are loud, greedy, and somewhat obnoxious, Leo is forever the quiet one. The thinker. The listener. He watches his life pass by as an outsider in his own world, absent and alone. Lost. Until he finds her. For Leo, Mia Kovács is like a prize, a gift wrapped in passion and devotion. And she’s his—his very own secret he doesn’t have to share. Together, they can overcome anything… heartache and destruction, guilt and regret. Mia gives Leo everything he didn’t know he needed, including her fragile heart. The only thing she doesn’t give him... are secrets of her own. 4.5 Heart Review by Ashley Nobody and I mean absolutely nobody writes angsty, tear your heart out over and over again YA romance like Jay McLean. Case in point...Leo. This book did things to me..it made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me call my mama. Plus getting to see the rest of the Preston kids is never a bad thing. From the first time Mia and Leo met, it was as if the silence they sought wasn't as deafening. They could hear their own thoughts clearly. It was a feeling neither of them quite knew what to with, peace. But as life kept forcing them apart, those feelings they didn't know how to express didn't go away. They grew, festered into something bigger, deeper, more powerful, more all consuming. Until it all erupted. Imploded in the most awful of ways. Gah! My heart. Mia's heart. Leo's heart. I honestly had no clue how everything was going to pan out. There was so much in their way. But it was Mia, her grace, her capacity to forgive, to build bridges that changed the game for everyone. And that ending...le sigh..it was so perfectly Leo and Mia and exactly what they deserved. 5 Heart Review by Lorena I love, love these Preston brothers. Their stories make me laugh and cry every single time. My heart keeps taking a toll with these beautiful young men that drive me crazy both in a good way and in a way where I want to strangle them too. Leo has always been the quiet one, he's the third from the Preston family but has always pretty much kept to himself and tried to stay out of trouble. But when him and Mia meet up again after many years, he all but consumes himself in Mia. She's what makes him stronger, she's what keeps him together and together they are definitely a bomb sure to go off. He's so different from his brothers but damn he's the one that's made my heart beat a little faster than Lucas and Logan. These boys are so different from each other that it makes you NOT want to miss out on reading any of their stories. And everyone in the family always comes out in each other's stories. I love that and how united this whole family is and how they accept the girlfriends (and boyfriend for Lucy) with open arms. This is what you call a true loving family. LOVE THE PRESTON FAMILY!
