I met Luna Marshall when I was seventeen.
She was a force of nature that I wasn’t ready for.
She was gravity and I was caught in her pull--
Powerless while she held me in a world I was desperate to escape.

They say you never forget your first love.
I believe they’re right.
I’ll always remember the sound of her laughter.
The way she whispered my name when I touched her, and the taste of her on my lips.
I’ll remember everything.

Including the look of pain as I walked away.

Book 1 of 2

5 Star Review by Lorena
Oh my god, this book left me on pins and needles!!

This was definitely a great, great young adult book that left me completely enthralled. I swear, I was sitting down and almost fell off my chair when I got to the end because that was definitely not the ending I was expecting!!

Luna is the perfect girl, the perfect daughter who gets excellent grades and has never, ever gone out on a date with any of the boys in school that has asked her out because she always had her eye on a particular guy but thought that he didn't reciprocate the same feelings. Little did she know that Gavin also liked her but thought that he didn't have a chance in hell with her.

When they finally start talking and they both reveal how they feel about each other, they have to start dating in secret because no one will accept their relationship, especially not her parents. She comes from a wealthy family and he comes from a poor family with an alcoholic father who does nothing but beat him and his brother up.

Gavin pretty much has no one because his father hates him and so does his brother. He doesn't get along with neither one. Their mother took off when they were small. So Gavin only has Luna and Luna will walk over coals for Gavin.

When Gavin gives Luna an ultimatum she has to decide if leaving with him is the right thing to do or will she just jeopardize his life!!!

Oh my, I don't even know how to explain how this book left me because AGAIN, I was in pin and needles when I got to the last page and was still trying to make my kindle keep going because I wasn't done with Gavin and Luna.

This totally got me by surprise because the events that happened were not what I was expecting and I love when a book gives me these types of surprises.

One read that will definitely go on my top 2019 reads!!
