I really wanted to love it but there was just something that I struggled to connect to. That being said, I was rooting for Alexis from the start. I liked Alexis the first time I met her. But somewhere in the gap before we see her again, life and circumstance brought her down. Gone was the confidence she had that night with Dom. Thank goodness for her friend that was willing to risk it all to help her. So imagine her surprise when she runs into Dom again. It was the first time she had felt safe in years and he made it his mission to keep her safe. I really liked seeing her spark come back. Too bad the past she was running from wouldn't let her go. Alexis and Dom's second chance love story was intense and chaotic. The suspense was great, the danger was there in spades. I was holding my breath during the final dramatic showdown waiting to see how it would all shake out. But there was so much going on. Almost too much with the overlapping story lines and it took away from the romance for me. I wanted more time with Alexis and Dom just being together and getting to know one another as who they were now. About the Author  For as long as she can remember, Nikki Rose has enjoyed writing stories. For years, writing was just a hobby for this South Carolina native. It was a way to let out all the stories floating around in her head. After one of those stories took on a mind of its own, outgrowing even the parameters of a single book, Rose knew she had to pursue her dream.
