Because feelings can be a lethal distraction. 4 Heart Review by Ashley Holy geez what did I just read? Lies was so different from anything I've read from Kylie Scott before but I was hooked. The opening alone gave me the big eyes and I just had to know what would happen next. Betty was a rock star. I loved her sarcasm and how she took everything that was thrown her way in stride. Sure she had her questions but she handled herself remarkably well. Thankfully, she had Thom to help keep her focused on the end game of figuring out who was behind the madness. Talk about a whirlwind. At every turn Thom and Betty were either dodging bullets or trying to sort through their relationship issues. It was a delicate balance of in the here and now and hoping for the future. And when they were working together, things just went smoother (go figure). I was so wrapped up in Betty and Thom's story that I didn't want it to end. Lies was completely addicting. Witty. Dangerous. Sexy. Unexpected. Kylie Scott got me again and again with all the twists. Especially the ending. I think my heart legit stopped beating a time or two. Gah! I loved this and my fingers are crossed to see more of this crazy cast of characters again somewhere down the line!
