On the outside Emily Bruel lives the perfect life. She’s been happily married for almost ten years with two beautiful children. Living on New York City’s Upper East Side, she inhabits a palatial townhouse that was once an embassy. She has a live-in nanny, a housekeeper, a cook, a driver, a masseuse and a trainer. Young, skinny, stunning, she wants for nothing. Except, of course, the want she has for her husband to stop ignoring her existence and touch her, the way he did once.

Emily starts rewinding her love story with the most beautiful man she has ever laid eyes on: Louis Bruel. He was once deemed New York City’s most eligible bachelor. He plucked and hooked the then eighteen-year-old innocent and stunning Emily Marcus before the world had a chance to lay eyes on her. He created a life for Emily that others could only dream of. Was she a fool to trust that one woman could be enough for the insatiable, gorgeous, playboy millionaire? Can their uninhibited, scorching romance just fizzle out and die? With the help of ‘80s songs we journey back with Emily into their lives and their love in rewind.

Love in Rewind is a wonderful title for this novel by Tali Alexander. The first chapter starts out with Emily and Louis Bruel in the present, married with two kids, but with Louis slowly withdrawing from Emily. After that first look, we travel back in time, rewinding into the past, to see how Emily Marcus became Emily Bruel.

Emily and Louis met when she was eighteen and he was thirty. They were unable to stop staring at each other at his company’s party, where she was working as a waitress. Emily left empty-handed, but Louis left with two ladies on his arms.

For weeks, Emily dreamt about being with Louis. This eighteen year old virgin experienced her first climax masturbating to the thought of her and Louis together.

Soon, Louis held another party when Emily once again waitressed. At the end of the party, Louis had propositioned Emily. That ignited the spark that caused the firestorm that was Emily and Louis.

Six weeks later, they were engaged. They were truly in love, and their sex life was amazing.

Fast forward to the present. Louis starts to slowly withdraw away from Emily, leaving her alone not just physically, but mentally too. Is there anything that can save this couple from a devastating end?

This was a great read. I love seeing and reading how a couple so in love met. How they dated and how they fell in love. Tali Alexander does such a wonderful job of making sure the reader feels emotion. Plus, she is a great erotic romance writer…

The music of the eighties is a huge motive in this book. I wish I knew eighties music, because I’d use Sara and Emily’s language and describe this book. But I don’t, so I’ll stick with music of today. Ain’t it Fun by Paramore.

Like I said, Tali Alexander is a FANTASTIC erotic writer. Her scenes are steaming hot. Trust me, you might need a change of panties and some relief once you’re done with this.

Five stars for Tali Alexander and Love in Rewind. This was a terrific book and a wonderful trip back in time. I cannot wait for the next one!
