I only got as far as the hot cover, I didn't read the synopsis, before I jumped into Lover. Mini spoiler alert: this book is vastly different from anything you've likely ever read before! It was compelling and HOT and just the right amount of wrong. I really connected with Piper and the situation she found herself in...A struggling marriage, wondering if it's worth it to try or just let it go. But Piper wasn't a quitter, she found quite the unconventional way to try and re-kindle the something that was missing with her husband, Cannon. Which brings me to Tilly and West. Those two were explosive and not exactly in a good way. From the first meet up between the two couples, things get super steamy and the heat factor only continued to escalate as the book went on. But it was West and Piper connecting on a level beyond the physical that really threw a wrinkle into the mix. There was no denying the connection they had and one clandestine meeting turned into more than either was expecting. It was a game changer. However, Piper and West weren't the only ones keeping a secret. Everyone was hiding something. I had a hunch what part of the rift between Cannon and Piper was and I was quasi-right. I didn't think the level of twisted went as deep as it did in Lover but I was majorly wrong! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the ride that Marni Mann and Gia Riley took me on and I'm not sure when it'll stop spinning. Fingers crossed for more and more collaboration between these two because when they team up, I know something unexpectedly unique is going to turn up.
