If love is a salvation for some, for me it was a damnation. Until I met her.
We both understand what it means to lose the love of our lives.
We both refuse to have another relationship.
We both think we’ll never love again.
And then our worlds collide.
She’s the storm to my dangerfree life.
I’m the anchor to her wildness.
She’s reckless.
I’m guarded.
But in reality, we’re both pretending.
What if love is what we need to mend our broken hearts?

4 Heart Review by Ashley

Rock stars and the men of Cole Security? Yes, please and thank you. To be fair, I've never read Gabrielle G. but I've read a fair amount of Corinne Michaels and her Salvation Series is my favorite of hers. Mended was an emotional read to say the least.

I liked that both Oliver and Tessa were broken and lost. Struggling to get through the everyday after suffering tragedy. Even more, I liked that they had a support system that was there for them. And it was their group of friends that brought them together in the most unconventional of ways.

The first time they met sparks flew but it wasn't in a good way. But under that simmering tension was a pain that they recognized in each other. And as they were forced together their guards slowly came down and they were able to start letting their friends see their pain. But when Oliver's work hits a little too close to home, it is all he can do to keep his heart from taking over and his head in the game.

My goodness! What a tangled web of deviousness, lies and deception that was uncovered. Full of loss, guilt, danger, grief, drama and forgiveness, Tessa and Oliver's unlikely romance had me hanging on every word. And getting heaping doses of Mark and Quinn and even a few glimpses of Jackson certainly didn't hurt
